What we assume
  • 2026 SRI table (Resolution NAC-DGERCGC25-00000043, 29 Dec 2025).
  • 2026 Unified Basic Salary = USD 482; exempt band for local dividends = 3 × 482 = USD 1,446 per year per company.
  • Work rendered outside Ecuador; no source withholding to credit on the foreign dividend.
What can change it
  • If the LLC's profit had been taxed in the country of origin, art. 49 LRTI allows crediting that tax against the Ecuadorian one; with a transparent LLC without ETBUS there is normally nothing to credit.
  • New companies, or existing ones that reinvest, can bring the corporate rate down to 22% (for up to 15 years) or lower with reinvestment (Organic Law for Economic Development and Fiscal Sustainability, 2023); this entry uses the general 25%.
  • The 12% on local dividends is new (in force since 1 Sep 2025): if a tax-haven beneficiary sits in the ownership chain, the withholding rises to 14%; for non-residents it is 10%.
  • Working physically from Ecuador does not change the simulator's result (it is already worldwide income), but can trigger IESS social security registration.
